Intensive program for learning English organized in cooperation with US cadets
2012 was the first year when the CULP (Cultural Understanding and Language Proficiency) program, initiated by teaching staff and students from the Institute of Technology / ARMY ROTC in Florida, started to function at the "Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy for the benfit of our military students.
Our American partner’s initiative was a real success, therefore the intensive program for learning English is taking place this year, too, between 11 and 29 July. 10 cadets from the above-mentioned institution, together with teacher Claudia BELL and Cpt Jonathan KIMBLE, will make use of all means and methods available to help the 20 cadets from our academy to develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills.
During their stay in Romania, the American guests, together with the Romanian military students, will participate in different extracurricular activities which will undoubtedly help them better know each other as well as the Romanian traditions and customs, within an excellent exchange of experience beneficial for all those involved in the project.
We wish everyone good luck with this project and a pleasant stay on the Transylvanian land.
