International Military Academic Forum 2015
From 09 to 14 June 2015, the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy hosted the second edition of the International Military Academic Forum (iMAF), an event aimed at fostering and deepening a European security and defence culture, by ensuring the highest standards of cadets and young officers’ education in the context of the new challenges of the international environment.
IMAF is a project initiated in 2014 by the Theresan Military Academy, Austria, in cooperation with the University of Defence, Brno - Czech Republic, the Military Academy of Land Forces, Wroclaw - Poland, the National University of Public Service, Budapest - Hungary, and the Land Forces Academy, Sibiu - Romania.
This year event was attended by 80 representatives from 15 countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Romania and USA ), who elaborated some joint training modules that will be included, in the near future, in the educational curricula of the (member or partner) military institutions of education.
The official opening of the Forum took place on Wednesday, June 10, at 09.30 in the Event Hall of the Land Forces Academy.
