NATO Conference at the ”Nicolae Bălcescu”Land Forces Academy

On the 5th and 6th of October, the "Nicolae Bălcescu" Land Forces Academy hosts the international event MSG-141 Lecture Series C2SIMI (Command and Control to Simulation Interoperability), organized in cooperation with the NATO representatives Modeling and Simulation Group (NMSG) and Science & Technology Organization (STO).
The MSG-141 team, consisting of Mr. Bharat PATEL (GBR) - Defense Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), Mr. Adam Brook (GBR) - QinetiQ Company (QinetiQ), Mr. Kevin Galvin (GBR)- Thales Group UK(Thales UK), Mr. Rob Wittman, PhD (USA) - The MITRE Corporation (MITRE), Mr. Mark Pullen, PhD (USA) - George Mason University C4I & Cyber Center (GMU), gives participants the opportunity to obtain the information needed to extend their knowledge of command and control (C2) systems interoperability with simulation systems. Communication between them is achieved through the combined use of C-BML (Coalition Battle Management Language) and MSDL (Military Scenario Definition Language) to initiate and execute military scenarios specific to multinational C2-simulation environments, distributed in order to support the analysis of the courses of action, the development of concepts, as well as experimentation and operational training.
The activity was attended by representatives of simulation/training by simulation centres from the military academies and units, teachers, instructors and cadets of the”NicolaeBălcescu”Land Forces Academy.
