Military Multinational Sports and Shooting Games
Another outstanding achievement that once again confirms the high level of training of our cadets and their determination to excel in international competitions!
Cadets of "Nicolae Bălcescu" Land Forces Academy of Sibiu achieved an excellent result by securing second place at the Military Multinational Sports and Shooting Games, held from 20th to 24th of April 2026 at the Military University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland.
The competition brought together 14 teams from European military higher education institutions representing Estonia, Greece, Italy, Norway, Poland, Romania, and Ukraine. Participants were challenged in a demanding series of events designed to test both physical endurance and mental resilience, including shooting, swimming, running, an obstacle course, strength, and speed.
The Land Forces Academy team, consisting of Cadet Artistică Iscruleasa, Cadet Izabela Florea, and Cadet Sebastian Crețu, under the guidance of Colonel (Ret.) Professor Robert Stănciulescu, PhD, demonstrated exceptional teamwork, discipline, and determination, earning a well-deserved place on the podium.
The team's success was further highlighted by the outstanding individual performance of Cadet Izabela Florea, who also won the silver medal, a testament to her excellence and consistent dedication to training.
The team's next challenge will be the International Military Pentathlon Championship, scheduled to take place in Lillehammer, Norway, this September.
Congratulations to the entire team on this remarkable achievement! We wish them continued success in future competitions and in proudly representing Romania at the highest international level.
