Land Forces Academy, Host for the Romanian Military Who Will Represent Romania at the Invictus Games

The narrow ring of the Invictus Romania carried out a training and recovery program between September 2nd and September 6th at “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy and at Aria Center in Sibiu, in view of participating in the next year Invictus Games in the Hague, the Netherlands, a Paralympic competition dedicated to injured soldiers.

Our comrades trained in eight individual sports disciplines (archery, athletics, canoeing in the gym, swimming, powerlifting, cycling, long jumping and disk throwing) and a team sport (sitting volleyball).

On this occasion, the military also interacted with first-year LFA students, sharing their experiences, difficulties and challenges after they had been injured in the theaters of operation where they ultimately found the motivation to overcome them.
