Between April 24–27, 2025, “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy in Sibiu hosted the first edition of the Anniversary Gala of the “MG Nicolae USCOI” Cadet Corps Association—an event dedicated to celebrating 18 years of continuous support for students and their development as future leaders in society and in the defense system.
The anniversary brought together over 80 participants from across the country, including representatives of the five national military colleges, military academies, and civilian universities.
Over the course of four days, participants engaged with the military academic environment in Sibiu through a well-structured program that included activities at the Perii Dăii training range, tours of academy facilities, and a guided visit of the city of Sibiu—designed to provide a complete perspective on the environment in which the future leaders of the Land Forces live, learn, and grow.
During the festive gala, certificates and plaques were awarded to student associations and national military colleges as a token of appreciation for their ongoing support, active collaboration, and contribution to building a strong community grounded in the values of education, discipline, and excellence.
The “MG Nicolae USCOI” Cadet Corps was established on March 16, 2007, as a unique initiative among military education institutions. Its main mission is to enhance the professional, cultural, moral, and physical development of students.
Its honorary name is no coincidence, as it reflects the profound respect students hold for the late Academy commandant, Major General Nicolae USCOI.
Happy Anniversary! Wishing you ongoing success!
