L.F.A. students at the Computer Graphics course, Poland

Between May 19-23, 2025, two students from "Nicolae Bălcescu" Land Forces Academy of Sibiu, sergeant cadet Olteanu Diana-Maria and sergeant cadet Copîndean Adelina-Elena, participated in the Computer Graphics course, organized as a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) by the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the Naval Academy in Gdynia, Poland.

In the run-up to the physical mobility, participants attended one week of online theoretical courses, which gave them the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge and familiarize themselves with the subject. This knowledge was further consolidated through applied activities in the laboratories organized in Gdynia.

The course aimed at learning modern image processing methods using the Python programming language and specialized libraries such as OpenCV and NumPy. The practical activities gave participants the opportunity to implement theoretical concepts in concrete applications, thus developing relevant technical skills in computer graphics.

This activity was attended by students from several partner institutions, together with students from the organizing academy and from "Nicolae Bălcescu" Land Forces Academy of Sibiu: University of Studies in Turin (Italy), "Nikola Vaptsarov" Naval Forces Academy in Varna (Bulgaria), "Mircea cel Bătrân" Naval Academy in Constanța and "Ferdinand I" Military Technical Academy in Bucharest.
