Delegation of the Seoul Military Academy visiting AFT
Between June 30 and July 1, 2025, a delegation from the Korea Military Academy of Seoul, Republic of Korea, paid an official visit to the "Nicolae Bălcescu" Land Forces Academy of Sibiu. The delegation was composed of Major General Hyungki SO, the Superintendent of the Korea Military Academy, Lieutenant Colonel Hyunyoung MOON, Associate Professor of English, and Major Sangsu KIM, International Cooperation Officer.
This visit followed the initiation of cooperation between the two institutions, which began with the visit of the delegation from the "Nicolae Bălcescu" Land Forces Academy of Sibiu to the Korean Military Academy of Seoul in February 2025, during which the Memorandum of Understanding between the two military academies was signed.
The main objective of this visit was to deepen mutual understanding between the two institutions and to identify future cooperation opportunities through joint activities and projects, aiming at exchanges of students, faculty members, instructors and other personnel.
The program included a formal meeting between the leadership structures of the two academies, visits to our institutions’ academic and training facilities, as well as tours of the main tourist attractions in the cities of Sibiu and Alba-Iulia.
