Implications of new technologies and invisible threats on the process of NATO's adaptation to the new global reality
The purpose of the round table on "The implications of new technologies and invisible threats on the process of NATO's adaptation to the new global reality" was to facilitate an exchange of experience between scholars and practitioners working in the military field science. Along with the academics from the Department of Military Sciences, during the debates organized on March 12, 2021, guests from multinational military units, NATO centers of excellence, “Carol I” University of Bucharest and civilian teachers from “Lucian Blaga” University Sibiu participated.
The discussions highlighted the challenges to the freedom and security of NATO members and partners by addressing the following topics:

     The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on NATO actions.
     Countering invisible and emerging threats to states and international organizations.
     Combating disinformation actions in the online environment.
     Applicability of Artificial Intelligence in NATO military operations.
     Optimizing the military decision making process.
     NATO approaches to cyber attacks and malicious online activities.
     The impact of technology on military actions.

Leadership is a dynamic and complex process by which the leader of an organization directs and trains subordinates / the team, through non-coercive means, towards a direction of action that will lead to the achievement of its objectives.
The relevance of the Research Center’s activity results from the national and Euro-Atlantic importance of the approached field, which has implications in all sectors of activity, especially in the field of security and defense, both through scientific involvement and expertise, and through legal regulations.
The Research Center aims to increase awareness in society about the importance of leadership, to contribute to increasing the efficiency of scientific research activities applied at university level in a systematic vision in the processes of substantiation, development, implementation and evaluation of the organization’s strategy in the context of the current transformations and of the development of the professional career, as well as to the extension of the cooperation by organizing domestic and international scientific manifestations. The center includes in its structure university teachers, researchers, master and bachelor students involved in the development of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research topics and programs in the field of social sciences.
